"The Season" - Sarah MacLean

As you may (or may not) know, I love a historical fiction book. Usually from the Tudor time period - Crazy Henry and his million wives. I got so into them while pregnant, that I kept having dreams of beheading and had to stop! Well, The Season isn't quite from that time period. Its several hundred years later, although still in London. It is about a young girl and her debut into London society. She hates the whole scene. The dresses, being expected to find a hubs within a summer, the politics and protocol... But of course, she puts on that pretty dress and low and behold... Well, its pretty predictable. Although there is some nice murder mystery wrapped around it! Its fluff, but a girl needs that now and then. I just like reading about the pretty dresses!
