This is a two-bird/one-stone type. As I'm sure, you've heard about the terrible earthquake that has hit Haiti. The death and destruction there is unimaginable.
How can you help? The Red Cross has set up a pretty cool campaign where you can donate via text. I beleive you text "Haiti" to 90999. Your phone company will charge you $10 on your next bill and that WHOLE $10 goes directly to Red Cross. At press time (I'm so official) over $3M has been raised this week.
If you cannot donate financially, think about giving blood. The Hubster and I will be doing so this weekend. Make sure you're in good health, and eat before going - no one likes to pass out! I'm sure there are also places where you can donate clothes, food, supplies, etc.
Finally, if it is your "thing" please lift up a prayer. Or 2. Lives were lost, homes were destroyed. I know I am praying for those lost souls, their families, any human that has been displaced, those flying to Haiti to help and those helping here in the States (and worldwide). As a Catholic, I was devastated to hear that the Arch Bishop of Port-Au-Prince and many priests were lost when a Cathedral crumbled on top of them.
