I never did come back and leave my review for this whole series,
nor the movie. So I’ll do both.
As for the series – well, I loved it! I couldn’t put the
books down!! They are quick and easy reads (for adults) and big on imagination.
They captivate like the Harry Potter
series, but with a totally different story line. In fact, this series lends a
bit of educational flair, teaching about the Greek gods! I have read there
might be more coming out, and I sure do hope so, I was sad to see the story
end.
Now for the movie… If you see the movie and have read the
book, you HAVE to remove the book from your head. Otherwise, you’ll be sorely disappointed.
Its VASTLY different and in ways that don’t make any sense. Well, at least they
don’t make sense to ME. Book aside, it’s a cute movie. It gets kind of long and
the acting is pretty rough. But it was an entertaining afternoon date for The
Hubs and myself.
Bottom line – don’t expect much from either the books or the
movie and you won’t be disappointed! But you will be entertained!
