- The show must go on... Inside my heart is breaking... My make-up may be flaking... But my smile still stays on.
The show needn't go on. Per
this press release, Jon & Kate + 8 will continue, with the addition of Jon's girlfriend, Deanna. I was on a J&K+8 media ban, but this was brought to my attention by a friend. I am
beyond disgusted.
- Jon - Not only did you cheat on your wife, break the promise you made to her 10 (and 1) years ago. But you did it in public. And then lied about it. Again, in public. Thanks to you, your children will have some of the worst moments of their life on tape. 50%+ marriages end in divorce. But how many 6 year olds have their peers and friends privy to such details every week at 9PM?
- Kate - It takes 3 to tango. While you may be a victim, you are not innocent. 9 times out of 10 infidelity is a symptom of something much worse. You were blinded by fame and fortune. You claim to put your kids first. You wouldn't have to, had you put your marriage first. Without your marriage to Jon, you likely wouldn't have those 8 angels in the first place.
- Deanna - You meet Jon. You know who he is. You know he is married. Yet you continue to run around with him anyway. It might not have been you. It could have been any woman. But it is you. And now they will profit off of your poor decisions. Your family should be so proud.
- TLC - This is beyond appalling. You are now as wholesome as Fox Reality shows. Maybe you can start up a show where a person tells their spouse, on TV, that they want a divorce. Oh wait, Jerry Springer already does that. No offense to him and his guests, at least they have the class and dignity to leave their children out of it. As long as this media circus is on your channel, your channel will be blocked from my television. I don't support this.
In all honesty, I truly hope PA CPS looks in on this. The victims here are the
children. despite the overly-used cliche, NOTHING is being done FOR them. In spite of them, maybe. How embarrassing for them. Not only are their parents marriage crumbling in public, but their friends witness it weekly on their (moms) show. And it will be archived and resourced for years to come. I wish I could give each and every one of them a big hug. They're going to need it.
