What a week! Had a blast with Ann here. I'm pretty sure she wanted to steal my dogs and/or my kid. I'm still a bit pink from my time in the sun at the zoo. I love nice days here. We haven't had many lately. Its been feeling like Florida. Showers every afternoon! And humidity! Ugh. I moved away from that, I thought.
Well, an update on my cousin. Its Viral Encephalitis - inflammation of the brain. Hes been making fantastic progress though! Tonight he was able to remember his cell phone code, lol! Keep up the good work, C! Some other sad events. A good friend of mine lost her father. She just found out she was pregnant. Its so mysterious how God works like that. I was PG last summer when we lost my gpa. I like to think they hung out for some time before E headed down to be with us. A close friend of Chads lost her mom this week as well. They still aren't sure what happened. The friend, S, is an amazing woman. Single mom that has worked her way through college. I met her at our reception and we actually look quite a bit alike. No wonder C liked her :) Also, a HS classmate of mine died in a kayak accident over the weekend. His brother still hasn't been found.
Please project some positive thoughts and/or prayers for peace for these families. And for those that were affected by the shooting today at the Holocaust Museum. I'm just sickened by the world.
I would like to end on a positive note though. A choir member at our church had a heart attack over the weekend. Sad yes, but he is fine and already home. A Good Samaritan found him on the bike trail, drove him to the hospital and stayed until his wife got there. There ARE good people out there. We need more of them. When was your last random good deed?
